Meet The Team
Andrew Mayne
Director/Qualifying Supervisor
Andrew qualified as an Electrician in 1986, having completed his apprenticeship and City and Guilds qualifications. He upgraded his qualifications in 2000 and again in 2008 to in order to keep up with the ever changing regulations. Andrew also holds the City and Guilds 2391 (Level 3 test and inspection qualification) and is an NVQ Assessor. Andrew spends a large part of the week managing the Business, and uses his vast knowledge on the subject to undertake Test and Inspections, Fault finding and estimating work. But he still finds time to "get his hands dirty" on site! Andrew is the Father to three young children as well as a keen Cricketer.
Tom Overton
Tom is Andrew's Cousin (keep it in the Family!!) and a very pleasant young man to know, after leaving University he decided to follow in his Father's footsteps and qualify as a "Sparky". Tom has excellent customer skills, is conscientious, hard working and honest. Tom is a welcome addition to the team, and as well as being technically capable to undertake Electrical work he is not afraid to pick up the Dustpan and Brush at the end of the day.
Amanda Mayne
Amanda adds some much needed glamour to this rogue's gallery ! as well as being Andrew's long suffering Wife, Amanda helps to run the office where her excellent organisational skills are extremely welcome. When Amanda is helping with the day to day running of the Business she works even harder as a Homemaker and Mother.
Tom Flynn
Tom has been like a breath of fresh air since joining the team. It is refreshing to have such a likable, honest and hard working young man in the work place. Tom came highly recommended to Maynes Electrics Ltd. by his NVQ Assessor who labelled him as "the pick of the crop" in his year group at college. Tom is working towards his City and Guilds qualifications and NVQ Level 3. He is a capable as the rest of us and does more than just sweep up and make the tea! Tom is also supporting a young family whilst working towards becoming fully qualified.
